       A religious community is changed when a non-believer has an ecstatic experience. The 1830's Shaker society of Pleasant Hill, Kentucky, is set in ordered ways. Their once dramatic form of worship has by now developed into routine. The arrival of Fanny upsets the harmony; the Sisters suspect her to be a "winter Shaker," one who suddenly converts when life gets too hard on the farm. Fanny sees angels in the meadow, and soon all the young women are receiving spiritual "gifts" of songs, drawings, ideas and giggles, completely upsetting the community. The leaders question Fanny's intentions and honesty: Is this a resurgence of the original Shaker celebration or something manufactured by Fanny so that she can remain with the Shakers? 

        Thespis Thinks looks at the world of theater-makers and the relationships that evolve and sometimes simmer in the theater soup. When two small California theater companies vie for the same arts foundation grant, Board members and production staffs go on the offensive.  Fingers start to point, betrayals brew, and a smear-merchant subverts the narrative to the Foundation and what ensues is a hilarious cavalcade of shenanigans.  Newly-appointed Artistic Director, widower and Georgia transplant Davis Cotton, a risk-taker who is struggling to transform this traditional theater company,  fights back with southern charm and savvy. His associate, Hillary Hampshire, who is so entrenched in the theater life that she has left herself no room for experiencing love, begins to see life differently, as Davis plucks her heartstrings, one string at a time.  But is the song he’s playing real?  The narrator of this contemporary theater chaos is pundit, play-by-play color commentator and ancient Greek actor, Thespis of Icaria.   

  Boundaries.  Choices.  Happenstance.  Dr. Biscotti and the Human Condition takes place in the office of a psychologist as he relives the story of a recent, tragic event.  The course of his clients’ lives, entangled by the choices they make, winds through the human condition down converging paths that lead to their unexpected fates.  A riveting story that exposes his heart and mind to a web of psychological challenges that force the doctor to confront his own humanity.
